CHESAPEAKE POINT CO-OP
Boat docks and slips were constructed in 2011 using state-of-the-art materials, following permitting by Federal, State of Florida, and local authorities. We are very proud of the docks, which allow boats up to 30 feet.
Nineteen docks totaling 39 boat slips were constructed and rapidly bought by shareholders in the Cooperative. Four slips are still available for purchase from the Co-op but are only available to shareholders.
The docks are considered common ground and as such are available for use by all residents. The slips are assigned to the shareholder purchaser and are for the purchaser's use for as long as they or their heirs remain owners.
There is one observation/fishing dock at the north end of the peninsula. In addition, there are over 2200 feet of fishable seawall surrounding the park. Imagine, as a fisherman, the advantage of 2200 feet of seawall, compared to what you would have available if you were in a single family home.
Nothing beats having your very own boat tied to the dock where you live, and being in the Anclote River in seconds, and the Gulf of Mexico in only minutes with NO bridges in between!
